A friend of mine works at Adobe and he decided to start up a simple website for the Nigerian Adobe Users Group he was starting. I initially started working with Joomla but I saw I needed to do heavy rewriting of the components when a few tweaks with Wordpress would have sufficed.

To make things easier for him (and for me), I coded an admin page in the backend to manage the announcement text on the home page as well as which categories belonged in events and articles. In the end, we had a lightweight XHTML valid site for AUGNG.
